Ingredients

3 trays ice
1 gal. cucumbers
5 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. turmeric
5 c. vinegar
1/2 c. salt
3 or 4 small onions
Preparation

Put ice over sliced cucumbers and onions; let ice melt.
Dip vegetables out of ice water and drain.
Place in mixture of vinegar, sugar and turmeric.
Cook for 1 minute, then can.
