Pecan Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. margarine
    1/4 c. plus 2 tsp. sugar
    3 c. flour
    3/4 tsp. salt
    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. light or dark Karo syrup
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    2 1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream together the first 2 ingredients.
    Add the flour and salt and mix until crumbly.
    Press into a greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 until golden, about 20 minutes.
