Ingredients

3 eggs, separate and save whites for icing
1 c. sugar
2 c. sweet milk
1/4 stick margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
5 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. coconut
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix egg yolks, sugar and margarine well.
Add milk.
Mix well. Put in a double boiler and bring to boiling point.
Then add cornstarch and vanilla.
(Mix a little milk with starch and vanilla before adding to hot mixture.)
Cook until thick as desired.
Pour into a baked pie shell.
Top with icing of egg whites and bake until brown.
