Apple Or Peach Strudel - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    apples or peaches
    sugar
    cinnamon
    butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
    1 egg
Preparation
    Into bottom of buttered baking dish (9-inch square or 11 x 13-inch), put thick layer of fruit.
    Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon (nutmeg if you like).
    Dot with lumps of butter.
    Mix together 1 cup sugar, baking powder, flour and salt.
    Into this, break 1 egg; mix until crumbly.
    Put this over fruit and bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 until brown, about 20 to 30 minutes.
    You can double the crumbs if you use a larger dish.
    This is good and easy.
