Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 baked (9-inch) pie shell
    1 qt. strawberries, sliced
    1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cook 1 cup of berries with water until soft.
    Strain.
    Mix cornstarch and sugar with the puree.
    Cook until thickened and clear.
    Cool.
    Line pie shell with half the remaining berries. Combine the other half with the puree.
    Pour into pie shell.
    May be garnished with Cool Whip.
