Rhubarb Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. cut up rhubarb
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. oatmeal
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. walnuts
Preparation
    Dissolve cornstarch in water.
    Mix the the first 5 ingredients and cook until thick.
    Mix the remaining 5 ingredients until crumbly.
    Put 3/4 mixture in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Add filling.
    Then sprinkle rest of crust mixture on top.
    Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
