Frosted Date Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/3 c. sifted confectioners sugar
    1 Tbsp. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 c. chopped Dromedary dates
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Combine flour and salt; sift twice.
    Cream the butter and gradually add sugar.
    Add milk and vanilla; stir in the sifted flour.
    Blend in dates and nuts.
    Roll in 1-inch balls.
    Place about 3-inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake in 300\u00b0 oven about 20 minutes, until light brown.
    While still warm, roll in confectioners sugar.
    Makes 3 dozen cookies.
