Never Fail Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
    4 c. granulated sugar
    1/4 lb. (1 stick) butter
    2 (12 oz. ) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips or peanut butter chips
    1 pt. (7 oz.) Marshmallow Creme
    chopped nuts (if desired)
Preparation
    Bring to a rolling boil the milk, sugar and butter.
    Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
    (Syrup should form a soft ball stage when tested in cold water, 232\u00b0.)
    Remove from heat and stir in the chips and creme.
    Add nuts, if desired.
    Spread into a greased 10 x 13-inch cake pan.
    Chill until firm.
    Store in an airtight container.
