Chafing Dish Beer Balls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. hamburger
1 lb. sausage
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. dried minced onions
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
pinch of dill seed (optional)
1 (12 oz.) can beer
Preparation

Mix first 5 ingredients.
Form small bite-size meatballs. Brown balls, then remove from skillet.
Stir tomato paste into drippings.
Add beer to this mixture.
Return meatballs to sauce. Simmer 20 to 30 minutes.
A pinch of dill seed may be added to the sauce.
Serves 20 to 30.
Keep warm in chafing dish and serve with toothpicks.
(This freezes well.)
