Crock-Pot Braised Ribs With Vegetables - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 3 1/2 lb. beef short ribs
    1 c. canned tomatoes or tomato juice
    2 tsp. salt
    4 small onions
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    6 medium potatoes, quartered
    6 to 8 carrots, cut into 2-inch lengths
Preparation
    Preheat ribs in skillet.
    Brown on both sides.
    Put short ribs into pot.
    Add tomatoes or juice, salt, pepper, potatoes, carrots and onions.
    Cover; simmer at medium setting for 4 to 5 hours or low setting for 7 to 10 hours.
