Lemon Meringue Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    5 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. boiling water
    3 eggs, separated
    juice from 1 1/2 lemons
    grated rind from 1/2 lemon
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Mix 1 cup sugar, cornstarch and salt.
    Add water.
    Cook in double boiler or microwave until thick.
    Add egg yolks and cook until real thick.
    Add lemon juice and rind; stir.
    Remove from heat; add butter.
    Put in baked pie shell.
    Beat egg whites with 1/4 cup sugar and cream of tartar until stiff.
    Put on filling and brown in oven.
