Squash Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg yolk
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 c. steamed squash, mashed
    3/4 c. rich milk or half and half
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg yolk well.
    Add sugar, butter, squash, milk, salt and cornstarch.
    Mix together and add vanilla.
    Over medium heat, bring mixture to a complete boil.
    Pour into baked pie crust. Spoon meringue on top and bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes, until brown.
