English Toffee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sticks butter (not margarine)
    2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    In a 2 to 3-quart saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
    Add the sugar and stir constantly over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.
    Then add the corn syrup and continue to cook over a medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until temperature reaches 297\u00b0 (do not undercook).
    Remove from heat.
    Add salt and nuts and gently mix in.
