Sour Cream Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    2 c. flour
    2 eggs
    1 c. sour cream
    1 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. soda, rounded
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. cocoa
    1 tsp. red cake coloring
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over soda; let cool.
    Cream sugar, cream and eggs together.
    Add flour, salt, cocoa, sifted together soda mixture, cake coloring and vanilla.
    Beat thoroughly with electric mixer for 5 minutes.
    Pour into well oiled and floured oblong baking pan.
    Bake in moderate oven about 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    When cool, ice with chocolate frosting.
