Wilma'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 3/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. milk
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. desired flavoring
Preparation

Cream shortening in bowl until light and fluffy.
Add sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, beating continuously.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating until light and fluffy.
Add flour and milk alternately, beating well after each addition and adding baking powder and salt with last flour addition.
Beat in flavoring and continue beating for 3 minutes.
Pour batter into greased, waxed, paper-lined tube pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until cake tests done.
Cool for 10 minutes and remove from pan to cooling rack.
