Sauerkraut With Wine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. margarine
    2 lb. sauerkraut (Claussen in jar or other)
    1 1/4 c. white wine
    1/4 tsp. salt
    pepper
    sugar and caraway seed (optional)
Preparation
    Drain sauerkraut; soak in cold water for 1 hour.
    Drain. Saute onion in margarine.
    Combine all ingredients, peppering heavily, and simmer 1 hour.
