Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 or 6 c. pared apples, sliced into thin slices
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. sifted flour
    1/2 to 1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 beaten egg
    1/3 c. shortening (oleo), melted and cooled
Preparation
    Place apples in a greased 9 x 9-inch baking dish.
    Sprinkle sugar over these.
    Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and egg together with a fork until crumbly and sprinkle over apples.
    Over all pour shortening (oleo).
    Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake in 350\u00b0 oven 30 to 40 minutes.
