My Mother-In-Law'S Favorite Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. tapioca (large)
    2 c. hot water
    pinch of salt
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Cook tapioca in hot water (you may soak overnight) with salt in top of double boiler until transparent.
    Add dates, brown sugar, flavoring and nuts.
    Cool in refrigerator.
    Serve with whipped cream.
