Chicken In White Wine Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
    2 large onions, sliced
    2 c. carrots, sliced
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. chicken broth
    2 c. dry white wine
    4 Tbsp. margarine
    salt and pepper
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Heat large skillet.
    Add margarine.
    Brown chicken pieces, then remove to large casserole dish.
    Rub flour into fat in pan. Slowly add chicken broth and white wine.
    Add onions and carrots. Cook about 10 minutes.
    Pour over chicken in casserole.
    Add a large bay leaf, salt and pepper.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for at least 1 hour.
    Serve with rice or buttered egg noodles.
    Remove bay leaf before serving.
    Beer may be substituted for wine.
