Fancy Fruit Compote - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can drained apricots
    1 can drained peaches
    1 can drained pears
    1 box pitted prunes
    1 can or jar pitted dark cherries
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 can macaroons
    1/2 c. red wine
    1 pkg. sliced almonds
    1/4 c. brown sugar
Preparation
    Butter sides and bottom of 9 x 11-inch pan.
    Crumble 1/2 macaroons onto bottom.
    Pour all fruits on top.
    Melt butter and wine together and pour on fruit.
    Sprinkle almonds; crumble remaining macaroons and sprinkle on, then sprinkle brown sugar. Bake 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
