Nonie'S Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 can cream style corn
    1/4 c. oil
    1 lb. ground meat
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese
    jalapeno peppers (optional)
Preparation
    Mix corn meal, eggs, milk, soda, salt, corn, and oil; set aside. Brown ground meat; drain and set aside. Grease a skillet for baking; sprinkle a thin layer of corn meal and let brown. Pour 1/2 corn meal mixture into skillet; sprinkle in meat, cheese, onions, and jalapeno peppers. Add remaining corn meal mixture over filling. Bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
