Swedish Meat Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. pork shoulder
    2 lb. ground beef
    2 1/2 c. bread crumbs
    2 c. milk
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    1/2 Tbsp. pepper (black)
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 c. cooking oil
    1/2 Tbsp. nutmeg
    3 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 c. cooking oil
Preparation
    Soak bread crumbs in
    the milk 2 or 3 minutes.
    Add all of the remaining
    ingredients;
    mix
    well.
    Shape into small 2 ounce round balls and roll in the flour.
    Brown in the cooking oil in a frypan.
    Remove
    from
    the
    frypan
    and
    place
    in
    a roasting pan.
    Cover
    with
    water.
    Cook
    in preheated oven at 300\u00b0 for 30 to 40
    minutes.
    Add
    a
    small
    amount of water if necessary. Makes 8 meat
    balls to the pound; this menu should make from 20 to 26 meat balls.
