Old Fashioned Apple Pie - cooking recipe

pastry for 2 crust 10-inch pie
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon or nutmeg
1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Line pie pan with pastry.
Mix sugar and cinnamon. Add apples and mix well.
Place apples in pan. Dot with butter.
Cover pie with crust, cutting slits for steam to escape.
Seal edges and flute.
Bake in preheated 425\u00b0 oven for 50 minutes or until crust is well browned and apples are cooked through. If edge seems to brown too quickly, cover with a strip of foil.
