Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    5 egg yolks
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (3 1/2 oz.) can flake coconut
    1/2 c. pecans, chopped
    5 egg whites
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together except egg whites.
    In separate bowl beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes in 3 greased and floured (8-inch) pans or 2 (9-inch) pans.
