Ingredients

2 sticks butter or margarine
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream butter.
Gradually
add
sugar.
Beat
in egg and almond extract (by
hand).
Gradually
blend
in flour.
Chill dough for ease in handling.
Roll out dough on lightly floured surface to 1/8
inch thickness.
(We like them thin;
however, you can make them
thicker,
if\tso desired.) Cut into desired shapes and bake at\t350\u00b0
on
ungreased cookie sheet (about 10 minutes, or\tuntil golden
brown).
Frost
with confectioners sugar frosting when cool.
