Pretzel - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 Tbsp. sugar
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1 small pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1 c. warm milk
3 egg yolks
egg whites
raisins
brown sugar
Preparation

Mix the first 4 ingredients together; set aside.
In another bowl, mix the yeast, warm water, warm milk and egg yolks.
Mix everything together, except egg whites, raisins and brown sugar. Let stand in refrigerator overnight.
Roll out thin, like pie crust.
Spread on stiffly beaten egg whites, brown sugar and raisins on half the dough.
Fold over; pinch dough together at edges.
Put small slits in top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 20 minutes.
Powdered sugar or glaze topping is optional.
