Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening (Mazola)
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    4 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. allspice
    2 tsp. ginger
    4 Tbsp. molasses
    pinch of salt
    1 1/2 c. sour milk
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda (dissolve in milk)
    3 c. sifted flour
    raisins and nutmeats as desired
Preparation
    Mix well.
    Bake in Pyrex flat dish for 3/4 of an hour in moderate oven.
    Use this like date and nut bread.
    Spread with butter.
