Angel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. crushed pineapple
    2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    1 c. water
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Combine sugar, water, pineapple and cornstarch.
    Cook in double boiler until thick.
    Remove from heat and fold in egg whites.
    Cool slightly and put into baked pie shell.
    Top with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
    Chill until ready to serve.
