Zucchini Milano - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 to 1 lb. sweet Italian sausage or turkey sausage
6 medium zucchini, trimmed and sliced 1/4 inch thick (about 5 c.)
1 small onion, chopped (1/4 c.)
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce with cheese
1 tsp. sugar or 1 pkg. Equal
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. leaf oregano, crumbled
1/4 tsp. seasoned pepper
Preparation

Remove casing from sausage; crumble meat.
Saute in medium size frying pan 10 minutes or until brown.
Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
Pour off drippings, then measure 1 tablespoon and return to pan.
Stir in zucchini and onion; saute 5 minutes.
Stir in tomato sauce, sugar, garlic salt, oregano and pepper.
Place sausage on top; cover.
Cook slowly 15 minutes or until zucchini is slightly tender.
Serves 6.
