Vanilla French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
    6 slices day-old bread
    maple syrup or cinnamon-sugar
Preparation
    In a bowl, beat eggs; add milk, sugar, vanilla and salt. Soak bread for 30 seconds on each side.
    Cook on a greased griddle (or, my antique cast-iron skillet) until golden brown on both sides and cooked through.
    Serve with syrup or cinnamon-sugar. Yield: 2 servings.
