Ingredients
    4 gal. cucumbers
    2 gal. cold water
    4 c. coarse salt
    2 small boxes alum pickling spice (fistful)
    1 gal. vinegar
    10 lb. sugar
Preparation
    Note:
    There is no cooking of the pickles.
    Takes approximately 12 days.
