Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head cabbage, shredded
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. white vinegar
    1/2 c. water
    8 pieces celery, diced
    1 green pepper, diced
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
    1/4 tsp. dry mustard or 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Let cabbage and salt stand 45 minutes to 2 hours.
    Squeeze out all the water.
    Boil sugar, white vinegar and water.
    Add celery, green pepper, celery seed and dry mustard or mustard seed to cabbage.
    Pour hot vinegar over slaw while hot.
    Keeps about a month or may be frozen.
