Best Potato Soup Yo' Ever Put In Yo' Mouth - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 7 medium potatoes
    1/2 to 3/4 stick butter
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can celery soup
    1 medium finely chopped onion
    1 1/2 c. milk (add more if you like it to be thinner)
    1 tsp. garlic salt
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    salt and pepper to taste
    bacon bits
    green onion tops
Preparation
    In large saucepan, cook potatoes and onion in enough water to cover and cook on medium heat until tender. Add cubes of cream cheese. Remove from heat and stir until cheese is melted. Add soups, butter and spices. Serve hot. Top with onion bits and/or green onion tops.
