Okra-Sausage Jambalaya - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. smoked sausage, sliced
2 c. sliced okra (1/2 lb.)
1 large onion, chopped
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
5 c. water
2 c. long grain rice, uncooked
1 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
-
Cook first 3 ingredients in oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat 10 to 15 minutes or until sausage browns; drain.
Add water and remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil.
Cover.
Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.
