Orange Sliced Candy Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. orange sliced candy, cut up
1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates, chopped
2 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. coconut
1/2 c. flour
1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. orange juice
2 c. powdered sugar
Preparation

Mix first 5 ingredients together well and set aside.
Cream margarine; gradually add sugar, then eggs, one at a time.
Mix baking soda with buttermilk and add alternately with flour.
Mix well.
Add the candy mixture.
Grease and flour pan.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 45 minutes (sometimes a little longer).
