Buttery Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. corn syrup
1/2 c. butter
2 c. peanuts
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

In a 3-quart saucepan, heat sugar, syrup and water until sugar dissolves.
While syrup boils, stir in butter and stir often. Heat to 230\u00b0.
Add nuts.
Heat to 280\u00b0, then stir constantly to 305\u00b0.
Remove from heat.
Quickly stir in soda; mix well.
Pour onto 2 cookie sheets, then stretch by lifting and pulling from edges.
With a fork, loosen from pan as soon as possible and break into pieces.
