Green Beans Tuscany Style - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. fresh green beans
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    2 tsp. chopped fresh sage or 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
    1 large garlic clove, peeled and crushed
    salt and pepper
    1 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Trim the beans and cut into 2-inch pieces.
    Steam the beans in boiling salt water over low heat until just tender.
    Drain thoroughly and cover with a cloth to keep warm. Heat butter and oil over moderate heat.
    Stir in 1/2 the sage or parsley and garlic.
    Saute 1 minute, then add the beans.
    Season to taste with salt and freshly grounded pepper.
    Stir over low heat for 5 minutes.
    Mix in cheese.
    Serve with the remaining herbs sprinkled on top.
