Hamburger And Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. bread crumbs
    1 Tbsp. chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 beaten egg
    4 or 5 potatoes
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can milk
Preparation
    Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, chopped onion, salt, pepper and egg in a bowl and form into small balls.
    Brown in 2 tablespoons shortening.
    Put in greased 2 1/2-quart casserole dish.
    Slice 4 or 5 potatoes over the meat.
    Heat 1 can cream of mushroom soup and 1 can of milk until smooth.
    Pour over potatoes and meat. Bake, covered, 1 1/2 hours at 350\u00b0, until potatoes are done.
