Christmas Ribbon Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime flavored gelatin
    1 c. hot water
    3/4 c. ginger ale
    2 Tbsp. fresh lemon or lime juice
    1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
    1 red apple (unpeeled), diced
    1 c. Mandarin oranges, well drained
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in hot water; add ginger ale and lemon juice. Pour into 4-quart glass baking dish or mold.
    Chill until slightly thickened.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Cover and chill until almost firm.
