Chocolate Float - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. sifted flour
    3 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Boil 1 cup sugar and 2 cups water for 10 minutes.
    Cream butter and 1/2 cup sugar.
    Add vanilla.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture alternating with milk.
    Mix well.
    Pour hot syrup into 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
    Drop batter by spoonfuls into syrup.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
    Serve with whipped cream or ice cream and top with nuts.
