Gumdrop Cake - cooking recipe

1/2 c. shortening or margarine
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
3/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 heaping tsp. baking powder
2 c. flour, sifted
3/4 lb. raisins
lemon flavoring (to add taste)
1/2 lb. gumdrops
Preparation

Put shortening or margarine into a bowl with the white sugar and mix, then add 2 eggs and mix.
Add your milk and salt; mix. Sift your two cups of flour and your baking powder into bowl.
Add your raisins and your cut up gumdrops.
Add lemon flavoring to add taste.
When you are all done, put it in a 9 x 13-inch pan and cook at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes, then at 300\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
