"24 Hour Cabbage Slaw" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. cabbage, thinly sliced
    1 carrot, grated or thinly sliced
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 green pepper, chopped thin
    1 small onion, grated
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. salad oil
    1 can niblets corn (optional)
Preparation
    Combine vegetables.
    Heat vinegar, sugar, oil and spices. Pour over vegetables and toss and refrigerate for 24 hours.
    Toss before serving.
    Keeps in the refrigerator 9 days.
