Dursey Cream Puff Ring - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 c. flour
    4 eggs
    2 Tbsp. sliced almonds
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Grease and flour large baking sheet.
    Trace an 8-inch circle on sheet.
    In a medium saucepan, heat water, butter, sugar and salt to a full boil.
    Stir in flour.
    Cook, stirring until paste forms a ball and leaves the side of the pan.
    Remove from heat.
    In a food processor or by hand, beat in eggs, one at a time, until paste is smooth and shiny.
    Spoon on baking sheet to form a circle.
    Sprinkle with almonds.
    Bake in a preheated oven at 350\u00b0 for 55 to 60 minutes or until browned and firm.
    Place on rack to cool.
    Split with knife so you have a top and bottom.
    Fill with cream filling.
    Dust with confectioners sugar.
    Serves 8.
