4-Alarm Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. hot Italian sausage
    1 large onion, chopped
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans (undrained)
    2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes
    1 c. beer or beef broth
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 Tbsp. diced jalapeno peppers (optional)
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    shredded Cheddar cheese
    sour cream
    green onions
Preparation
    Cook crumbled sausage, onion and garlic in hot oil until sausage is no longer pink.
    Drain.
    Add remaining ingredients, except Cheddar cheese, sour cream and green onions.
    Simmer, uncovered, for 45 minutes.
    To serve, top each bowl of chili with Cheddar cheese, a dollop of sour cream and green onions.
    Makes 6 servings.
