Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    1/2 lb. butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    8 qt. popped corn
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except soda and popped corn. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir constantly. Boil rapidly for 5 minutes (soft boil stage). Remove from heat and stir in soda quickly. Pour over popcorn in a large pan and stir. Bake at 200\u00b0 for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Turn out on wax paper and break into clusters. Store in tightly covered containers.
