Eight Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 c. frozen peas, cooked
    6 oz. fresh spinach
    1 medium onion, sliced in rings
    1/2 c. celery, thinly sliced
    1 green pepper, sliced in rings
    3 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
    salad dressing
    sugar
    salt
    white pepper
Preparation
    Mix the first seven ingredients in layers.
    Spread salad dressing on top 3/4 inch thick.
    Sprinkle with sugar, salt and white pepper to taste.
    Cover with grated Cheddar cheese 3/4 inch thick and top with crisp fried bacon (chopped).
    Refrigerate 1 to 2 hours before serving.
