Deviled Crab - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 double saltines
3/4 c. thick cream
1/8 stick butter
1 beaten egg
1/2 lb. backfin crabmeat
1/2 tsp. red pepper
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Crumble saltines in cream. Add butter and cook until thick. Cool. Add beaten egg and fold in crabmeat.
Season with red pepper, salt and pepper.
Place in crab shells and brush with melted butter. Broil until brown, about 15 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.
