Yulekage(Norwegian Christmas Bread) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. potato water
    1 2/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. margarine
    1 c. nonfat dry milk
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water plus 2 tsp. sugar
12 c. or more white flour
    4 Tbsp. ground cardamon
    raisins
Preparation
Put sugar, salt, butter and milk powder into a large bowl. Bring potato water to a boil and pour over first 4 ingredients. Let cool to lukewarm.
(Potato water is water potatoes have been boiled in.
If you don't have potato water, you can use plain water and add 2 tablespoons instant potato flakes to the first 4 ingredients.
Potato water helps make a moist loaf that doesn't become stale quickly.)
Add eggs and yeast mixture (yeast, water and 2 teaspoons sugar) to bowl.
Beat in about 4 cups of flour plus the cardamon.
Gradually beat in more flour until the dough is stiff enough to handle on the bread board.
