Southern Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    3/4 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Sift together all the dry ingredients and work in the shortening.
    Add the liquid to make a soft dough, then roll it out on a lightly floured board to a thickness of 1/2-inch.
    With a biscuit cutter, cut the dough before putting it into a greased pan and baking it in a hot oven at 425\u00b0, for 15 minutes.
