Cranberry Orange Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 c. raw cranberries, cut in half
1 c. sugar (use 1/4 c. more sugar when using whole orange)
grated rind and juice of 1 orange plus water to equal 3/4 c.
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Measure flour and blend dry ingredients.
Mix in all ingredients, except cranberries.
Fold in cranberries.
Pour in pan and bake 1 hour. Cool thoroughly before slicing.
Makes 1 large loaf or 3 small ones.
